A Moment That Changed Me


This year, my best friend’s husband passed away unexpectedly.

Through tears, she said to me,


“We were going to get professional photos this year 💔

But I have an idea — we’re having his ashes made into stones.

Maybe you could come take photos for us once we have them.”


I sat there quietly, heartbroken and humbled.

That conversation marked me.


It reminded me why I pick up my camera in the first place — not for perfect poses or coordinated colors, but for love, memory, and meaning.
